Dry Goods Jar in Foraged Pigment | Sample

$200.00

Dry Goods Jar in Foraged Pigment. These jars are coated in a thick and gritty layer of naturally pigmented stoneware slip. To gather the pigment for this slip, Sage simply had to take a walk from her studio to the cliff side that surrounds her property in Wallowa, Oregon.

Because these jars are made as functional wares, the exterior pigment has been coated in a thin glaze to lock it into place. This reduces pigment shedding and adds a slight sheen. *This is different from Sage’s previously made Foraged Pigment Pots, intended as cultural artworks. The interior surface of these jars is left unglazed so they will be moisture wicking for excellent dry goods storage.

Perfect for storing pasta, flour, lentils, or tea!

Exterior coloring is a warm beige punctuated with spots of cinder red, shiny black, and the occasional fleck of yellow ochre.

Approximately 7 1/2 “ tall x 4 3/4“ in diameter

Dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing. Do not microwave.

These are sample works and have slight irregularities in lid fit and some general distortion in shape throughout. The price reflects this.
